Match report Batting first on the upper pitch, a Malahide select XI made 200 all out in their 35 overs. Brian Gilmore (84) and Glenn Kirwan (63) had the tourist struggling at the top of the innings with a stand of 120. Some good bowling and determined fielding kept the total down in the second part of the Malahide innings despite a cameo from John Brogan (24). Tom Lovejoy (3-38) and A. Knee (3-15) were the pick of the Toulouse bowlers.

After lunch, the game moved to the bottom pitch and Malahide were soon in the driving seat with Toulouse on 52-4 after 20 overs with wickets from Conor Gibbons (2-19) and Howard Askew (2-18). Still needing 102 with 10 overs remaining, in came B. Trudget (50) and N. Warren (76) who put on a magnificent 132 together. In the penultimate over, Brian Gilmore snares Trudget at deep fine leg from the bowling of Robbie Condron and at the start of the last over, Toulouse still needed 4 to win. Then with only 2 balls remaining, Conor Gibbons takes a stunning C&B to send the game to the wire. From the last delivery, and with he fielders up, M. Fitchett calmly cut the ball square for 4 and Toulouse have their first win on tour for 5 years.
