Match report On a beautiful Sunday morning the ladies 2nds got their first win of the season against Merrion. Batting first Merrion put on 103 in their 20 overs with the loss of 2 wickets, Sorcha taking both bowling opener Breslin and replacement Volpart with 2 direct hits in her first over. Clara was 0/17 runs off her 6 overs.

The O'Carolan Murphys' opened the batting for the Village and batted well to push the score along but fell below the run rate required. Picking up the pace and taking somme risks saw teh runs come but a run-out and then LBW saw Clara and Fiona come to the crease. They pushed the rate up with Clara hitting 23 not out. A quick 15 from Meabh who was run out stretching for a 2nd run saw Fiona come in with 3 overs and 21 runs needed. The final over needed 9 runs for a Malahide win and Fiona decided to make sure with 3 quick 4's to the fine leg boundary sealing the win and a fine contribution of 19 in 12 balls faced.
