Match report An incredible finish in a game that was only settled with a scrambled single off the final ball. The Hills had managed to tie the scores with 7 balls remaining but Luke Birrell hit the stumps with a brilliant direct hit from the boundary, 6 balls later they were still looking for the winning run, Cameron Shoebridge bowled the final over, the first 5 balls contained 3 dots and 2 wickets, the final ball was a yorker that the batsman just managed to dig out, Joe Priestland fielded the ball but his underarm throw missed the stumps by a coat of varnish. Malahide had earlier set a target of 99 in their 20 overs, Luke Birrell made 31 and Sean Drumm made an excellent 30no. It was dissapointing to lose but all in all it has been a good season for the U13A's.
