Match report Cup Misery for the 5TH XI
Malahide won the toss and elected to field in this 1ST Round match of the Intermediate Cup. Despite Dundrum being a Division higher than Malahide and unbeaten all season, the Village took some early wickets, however Dundrum stamped their authority on the game and put together a 119 run Partnership, Joji Matthew (72 not out) and Jinto Matthew (63) helped set a target of 204 to win. The game then was never in doubt with some excellent Bowling with Alex Matthew (4-12) and Satheesh Narayanan (3-26) doing the bulk of the damage. The only real resistance to the onslaught was skipper Malcolm Rosbrook's 24.
Result: Dundrum 2 won by 113 Runs.
