Match report 3RD XI Edged out by Railway Union.
Malahide won the toss and chose to bat, Malahide began to score runs very quickly maintaining over 5 Runs an over rate, largely due to another outstanding batting display by Adam Shehabeddin (88)however despite the run rate, Malahide were losing wickets quickly with a loss of 8 wickets for just over a 100 Runs, the wickets evenly spread out across the Railway Bowling attack. Malahide were able to set a modest 190 to win for Railway Union. A 30 minute Rain delay slowed the Railway response, Railway Union always maintained a 6 runs per over rate, however they also lost wickets quickly, Hamish Manks with 5-34 in an outstanding example of quality bowling, backed up by Conor Gibbons who bowled a solid 3-57. Despite this brave effort by the Village, Railway Union did reach their target with two Wickets to spare.
Result: Railway Union 2 Won by 2 Wickets.
