Met Éireann are planning to use a much more reliable predictor of rainfall than their traditional radar system. In future they will be publishing the Malahide 2nd XI fixture list an the grounds that whenever Glen and the lads start putting their whites in their cricket bags , the rain will inevitably arrive. For the "upteenth" weekend , the 2nd's Sunday fixture V Pembroke 3s was washed out (just to add to their double weekend washout last week) meaning that they may still be playing at Christmas. The club have received a request from the Gibson Desert Cricket Club in Central Australia where it hasn't rained since 2008 asking Malahide 2's to come on tour in January 2015 !!!
