A good bowling and fielding performance restricted Dalkey to 122 from their 20 overs, even though they had 5 players retired and MCC only took 2 wickets, courtesy of Kevin Murphy and David Wynne.
In reply MCC were 91 after 9 overs with the first 4 players retired on 20, Danny Smith, Eric Lacey, Malcolm Ogilvy and Ken Wigmore. With only 32 needed off of 11 overs, it looked plain sailing, however, 5 wickets including a nervous run out left our last pair needing 9 runs with 4 overs to spare. Thankfully extras played their part and MCC won by 1 wicket with 2 overs to spare.
