A still sunny evening set the scene for a lovely evening of cricket for the Minor Girls. Malahide won the toss and elected to bowl and so began a great display of bowling by the team, with six wickets being taken over the course of 16 overs. The girls were on their toes in the field, and it was great to see them reacting so quickly to the ball.
When it was Malahide’s turn to bat, the team did well, hitting plenty of 4s and sneaking singles when the chance arose. There was great camaraderie shown between the girls with good support for the girl on strike.
Overall this was a good performance by an improving side, ending in Malahide winning by 78 runs! Well done to the Minor Girls!
