Leinster were the visitors to Malahide for a much delayed and refixed match on the top pitch.

Malahide won the toss and put Leinster in to bat first, a decision that was being doubted after the first 8 overs with Leinster powering ahead with runs flowing on the rock hard outfield.

A big total from Leinster of 140 with three of their players retiring and all batters getting runs.

We started well though and kept up with the required rate from early on with openers James (20) and Aaron (Retired 25) giving us a good foundation. After a barren spell mid innings, Oliver and Ellis came together and blasted 20 each, both out caught to good catches.

With the skies darkening and us running out of players and overs, Charlie(18 n/o) and Noah (7 n/o) kept cool heads and got us over the line with just a couple of balls left.

A thrilling match played in very good spirits by both teams and a fine team effort from all 11 of the  Malahide team. The Junior B Boys still unbeaten in 2018. Well played all.
