The 5th XI came agonisingly close to going into the next round of the Minor Cup.  We bowled Wicklow 2 out for 173: Eoghan Keohane taking 4 for 14, Adam Doyle 2 for 29, Liam Lydon 2 for 31 and Dan Read 1 for 31.

Grame Tarbox (28) and Mandip Kumar (23) put on 50 for the first wicket.  Innings of 24 from Mark Deacon and 28 from Ronan Furlong kept the momentum going, but in the Malahide were all out for 169, just 4 runs short.  It was a valiant team effort, ill-rewarded.
