The Development team faced a spirited Adamstown XI on the top pitch.  Despite impressive bowling from Isobel McCormack (3-18), Sarah Brophy (2-14) and debutant, James Dickinson (2-40), Adamstown reached an imposing 185 off 25 overs.

Malahide's batters took up the challenge with Aaron Doyle (17) and Ronan Furlong (21) setting the basis for some powerful mid-innings hitting from Mark Deacon (56 including 7 fours and 3 sixes).  Despite late efforts from Alun Brophy (17) and James Dickinson (16*), the game slipped from Malahide's grasp by a mere 9 runs.

Well done to all on a hard-fought, well-contested game played in the right spirit.
