A young 4th XI took on Wicklow 1st XI on a sunny but windy day in Presentation College.

Malahide won the toss and asked the home side to bat. Wicklow made a solid start and steady progress with their skipper Joyce top scoring on 65. Patient bowling and good fielding on a very difficult outfield kept Malahide in the game. An unpredictable bounce sent keeper Chinmay off to A&E with a lacerated eye brow but Wilhelm deputised brilliantly. A couple of wickets each from Inder (2-35) and Ben (2-40). 

Chasing 204 to win and despite Chinmay's heroic return to the fray, Malahide made calamitous start with 4 of the top 5 scoring 5 between them including 3 ducks. Only Inder (41) and Hamad (19) showed any defiance but Malahide were bowled out for 80.

Result: Wicklow I 203-7 beat Malahide IV 80 all out by 123 runs
