Malahide were put into bat by Greystones under sunny skies in beautiful Co Wicklow. We were quickly in trouble due to some poor batting from the top order. Gilly did his usual stuff and got to his 50, Robin made a belligerent 42 in 25 balls, stoic resistance from our young players helped us get to 142. Greytones started their reply with 2 quick wickets that gave us hope, considering that they are bottom of the league table. However, their next 2 batsmen chose the day to get in form for the 1st time their season, both got past fifties and took Greystones home without fuss.
