Fielding first again against a strong Civil Service team in the League proved to be hard work in the strength sapping sun. However, the lads stuck to it with decent bowling particularly from Zak Woods-Oliver  (4-30) and Geoff Read (1-23).

Chasing 189 always looked a tall order but pleasingly we showed we could bat for nearly all the 40 overs. The ultimate total of 106, in which skipper Jef Oliver scored his best score for Malahide (48) put scores together, gives us some more to build on.
