The Boys U11A's showed just how far they have progresses this season with a comfortable 7 wicket win over the mighty YMCA. Bating first the Sandymount side posted a challenging 101-5 in their 20 overs. Pick of the Malahide bowlers was Mitch Grant (3-8) but just as importantly was the all round fielding and in particular the run outs from Aaron Doyle and Matthew Langan.

Our reply started strongly with a 40+ opening stand between Aaron Doyle (25*) and Alex Moore (20) but then 2 direct hit run outs accounted for Josh Moore and Matthew Langan to put the pressure back on Malahide. Mitch Grant (20*) and Matthew Clarke (10) saw the game home in the 18th over.

A huge amount of credit must go to the players, officials and spectators of both sides for enduring constant rain and getting a game started and finished.
