The 4ths lost their 3rd game in a row to Civil Service in the Park. The opposition won an important toss and chose to bat on what looked like a difficult surface and so it turned out as the ball seamed around with variable bounce. 5 LBW's and 5 clean bowled dismissals told the story Malahide were all out for 89 with only Howard Askew (20*) and Ben Askew (13) reaching double figures as the pitch dried.

Following an extended tea break the opposition started their reply with the wicket now playing much easier. Civil Service made relatively light work of their reply despite some very good bowling from Robin Akhil (2-7), Inder Singh (2-9) and a magnificent one handed catch from Brian Gilmore.
