Perhaps it was the hangover after the Internationals last week but for the second year running the Taverners unbeaten season broke against the Theatrical Cavaliers. Put into bat on a Bird Avenue pitch, that almost let the ball bounce at times, the team were held back by some good bowling, 12 fielders and long grass in the outfield. A total of 85 off 20 overs always felt under par and despite fielding support from the Cavaliers, the leadership of Captain Cream and the vagaries of the pitch, their aerial route approach to batting paid off and the total was breached in the 17^th over.
