Malahide Cricket Club Lost by 30 runs

Match report On a lovely sunny Sunday morning Malahide U11B lost to Rush in a game dominated by the bowling sides. Malahide were only able to post a total of 55 for 12 wickets with Alex top scoring on 8 (n.o.). Ben A and Rory also made good contributions but too many wickets fell to some good straight bowling (and some poor shot selection) and some good catching, for this to be a competitive total.

Rush were kept to 65 for 8, with a quickfire 19 including a huge 6 from Aaaron, but it could have been a very different story if Malahide had held onto the five catches that went down. Highlights were two wickets for Zac, a great direct hit run out from Binjam, two sensible run outs from Ben R, a first wicket for Thomas in a match, two maidens in a three over spell for Ben A and a double wicket maiden for Killian which showed what a bit of straight bowling could do. There was also a really good performance behind the stumps from Rory.
