It was a close game against Pembroke who are top of the league and the Malahide girls played their best cricket in rainy and windy conditions. Excellent batting for the team in particular Abby McCabe (capt) and Beth Deacon meant that Pembroke had to chase 70 runs. Our two new wicket keepers were excellent, Aoife Mitchell and Katie Brophy have been hiding those skills all season. Excellent fielding from Gemma Devally and good football fielding from Chloe Bryan saved a few fours and kept the runs down. Tight bowling from Juliette Evans Garrett and Saibh Mitchell meant that Pembroke had to really battle for runs. Hard luck girls but a great match to end the season.
