The Hills very kindly accommodated an earlier start on the top pitch.  The visitors lost the toss and Ewan elected to bat first.  Rory (23) and Dan M (20) made the most of the early sunshine, successfully seeing off the opening bowlers and then beginning to play their shots. Both openers were dismissed in the 14th over with the score at 56.  Dan R and Matthew JC were both run out cheaply, but Ewan wound up the innings with a quick fire undefeated, long overdue  27 runs.  With Diarmuid not out 4, The Hills had to chase 95.
Malahide then presented a great display of line and length bowling and disciplined fielding. Dan R and Adam got two wickets each.  Diarmuid, Christopher, Eoghan, Daniel M and Matthew R each netted a wicket. Daniel M took a great catch off his own bowling and Paul was unlucky with his over, although he didn't concede a run.   An excellent catch from Matthew JC and another from Daniel M rounded off a good fielding performance.
In the end a win by 78 runs. Well done lads!
