The Village 13 B side welcomed Civil Service to a beautiful manicured top pitch in Malahide

Winning the toss Captain Rory Govan opened the batting for the home side, and in partnership with Finn Daly Dolan reached a 25 run scoreboard partnership by the fifth over.

Eoghan Keohane joined Rory and the partnership accelerated, which saw both boys retire with 26 runs each. Chris Deacon ensured Malahide left a three figure run target for Civil Service with some excellent strokes in his not out contribution.

Solid opening bowling by Adam Doyle & Ciaran Cope established it was a likely home win. The Hazzard & Reynolds partnership continued this pattern, while the wickets that followed by Rory Govan, Willhelm De Klerk and Finn Daly Dolan ensured a comfortable victory in 3 hours!

In the field Matthew Caird continued to demonstrate great agility & Christopher Evans Garret made a series of solid stops.
