The Malahide U13c team - a late entry to the competition - hosted Knockharley on a pleasant Saturday morning at the top pitch.  A complete all round performance, with all players batting and bowling, saw the home team win by a net 35 runs.

For once, Malahide won the toss and elected to bat. Despite the visiting team's inexperience at this age group, their bowling attack was still very reasonable.  Standouts for Malahide included 17 runs from Diarmuid Burke, 11 from Eoghan Keohane and 7 each from Chris Deacon and Finn Daly-Dolan.  Lads hitting runs at the U13 level for the first time included Tony O'Connor, Matthew Caird and Corey O'Conghaille. In compiling 87 runs Malahide lost four wickets, leaving net 167.

Matthew Reynolds returned figures of 3 for 5 from his two overs, matching his fine efforts in the field.  Adam Doyle and Adam Roche both bowled very tidily, the former taking a good catch at cover.  Finn held an important caught and bowled and Matthew C. collected two wickets bowling line and length.   Knockharley ended their allotted 20 overs on 167 for 7, net 132.
