3rd XI Back in Winning Ways

Division 5 champions started with an impressive win against Railway Union III at Ringcommons CC.
Batting first, Malahide got off to a great start at the top of the order with Hamish Manks (38), Gary Stewart (27) and James Garrigan (40) leading the charge. A quick 41 for Richard Wing was followed by a bit of a collapse but a final total of 193-9 looked competitive.
Early wickets for Chris Siddell (1-28) and Conor Gibbons (2-30) put the presuure on Railway and then opening bats Manks (2-37) and Stewart (3-42) wrapped it up for Malahide as the opposition ran out of overs.
Result: Malahide III 193-9 beat Railway Union III 182-9 by 11 runs
