U17's blitz Civil Service

17 Aug 2014

A very young U17 team (with two U11's) produced an excellent alround performance to beat Civil Service by 156 runs. Winning the toss and batting first, Malahide scored a huge 294 for 7 in their 35 overs. The total was built around an undefeated century from Cameron Shoebridge, 73 from Alex Davies and a rapid 48 not out from Sean Drumm. In reply , Civil Service were never "in the hunt" and it was great to see youngsters like Dan Read and Eoghan Keohane bowl so well. Ryan Court, Riley Shoebridge and Zak Woods-Oliver were the main wicket takers. It was also good to see Conor Gill coming "out of retirement" after a 2 year absence.
