A downpour of Biblical Proportions at Observatory Lane ensured that no further play was possible after 16 overs of the 3rd XI's match V Leinster 3's. After a difficult start which saw Malahide struggling on 17 for 3 after 7 overs, Cameron Shoebridge and skipper Des Horstmann had led a recovery taking the score to 43 for 3 when the heavens opened. The sharing of the points for this fixture means that the 3rd's only need 3 or 4 bonus points from their final match against Greystones next Sunday to ensure they finish the season as Division 5 Champions.
