The 3rd XI edged another step closer to winning Division 5 with a comfortable 43 run victory over Railway Union 3rds. Put into bat, Malahide made a decent total of 206 for 7 in their 45 overs. Stepehen Rubbathan made an accomplished 71 and Dickie Wing (46) and Robbie Weir (37)....yes that Robbie Weir made valuable contributions. A very strong Malahide bowling attack meant that Railway were never really in with a shout of getting the runs they needed. Conor Gibbons bowled excellently with no real luck conceeding only 22 runs in his 9 overs, Chris Siddell took 4 for 27, Cameron Shoebridge 2 for 18 and Benlee Muttahothill 2 for 40. Just a few more bonus points from their 2 remaining matches will see Des and his team over the line.
