Despite numerous attempts to get the match finished including re-locating the game from the bottom pitch to the top pitch, the heavy showers that lasted for most of the day meant that for the first time in the 6 years this fixture has been taking place we were unable to complete the game. In a game already reduced to 30 overs aside, Bedford batted first and managed to reach 130 for 9 in their 30 overs, Malahide bowled and fielded very well  with Riley Shoebridge (2 for 7), David O'Halloran (2 for 16) and Luka Keegan (2 for 14) being the main wicket takers. Unfortunately soon after the rain returned and stayed for the rest of the afternoon. At least the first 3 days of BMS's Irish Tour had been dry.
