Malahide Cricket Club News story

Big Blitz in the Village

26 Jun 2014

Earlier today almost 120 local sixth class pupils descended on Malahide Cricket Club to end their time in National School with a bang.

In the biggest Blitz held at the club this year, sixteen teams competed against each other in 32 fixtures, with Class 7 from Pope John Paul II NS coming out as narrow winners.

The day was a celebration of the development work done in the school and more importantly, an opportunity for pupils to use the skills and knowledge they have learned to run their own matches, keeping score and umpiring without the help of adults.
