Well done and thanks to all for successful hosting of the Ranji Trophy Ireland last Sunday. On a glorious summer day 12 teams, representing global leading companies, came together to play a fast and fun series of cricket matches, to commemorate a legend of the game who remains a symbol of communal harmony for Ireland and India. Ranjitsinhji, the ‘Maharaja of Connemara’, was a lover of Ireland who remains a cricket legend. The tournament and the whole day were pronounced a massive success. The tournament took the form of a round robin contest, with teams of six players each, representing leading Irish and global companies, including AIB, Amazon, Dell, ESB, RaboBank, Fidelity, Google, Intel, Microsoft , Adroid , Vendors Team , RCCI. The winning team represented Microsoft. In second place was Dell and AIB came third in what was a thrilling final and our own U15 boys won the youth section.
