An extremely close and even match against Clontarf ended up with victory for Malahide in the final over. Clontarf batted first and opened strongly and set a target of 84. Four wickets from Saibh Mitchell and two from Abby McCabe helped keep the tally down. Malahide then opened well with Katie Brophy making 25 and Juliette Evans Garrett 18. Wickets kept falling and it was up to our tailenders Chloe Bryan and Kate McKenna to hold their nerve and eek out the runs.
