A win for Minor Girls against North County

31 Jul 2018

Despite threatening dark skies and a late evening start, the Minor Girls were keen to play and stepped up for an exciting match. Batting first, they got off to a great start with a number of boundaries straight away. North County kept wicket well and their team took 6 wickets as they warmed into the game. However Malahide kept up the pace & scored 101 runs.
Malahide bowling was consistent with less wides than in previous matches and included a nice maiden over. The girls fielded well with some super stops and nice catches, keeping the opposition’s big hitters’ run rate down. Taking 9 wickets in total, Malahide won by 23 runs. Well done again to the Minor Girls!
