The first round of the Girls Junior Cup was held in Malahide yesterday evening. Terenure were very inexperienced side but they still managed to make 75 runs with the loss of only 3 wickets. Best bowling came from Katie Brophy with 2 maiden overs, Niamh Coleman with 1 for 5 and Juliette Evans Garrett with 1 for 10.
It took 12 overs for Malahide to reach the target. Abbie McCabe retired on 31 runs and was well partnered by Elena Brady, 15 not out. Teagan Devally also batted and made 8 not out.
The girls face YMCA in the next round on 25th June.
