It was a lovely way to start the season in sunny Merrion and the girls showed their experience in winning by 10 wickets. Juliette Evans Garrett (2) and Beth Deacon (3) bowled the 5 wickets and kept Merrion to 71 runs. This year the new rule changes mean that the girls no longer play pairs so it took our batters only 9.1 overs to reach the target. Abby McCabe retired on 17 and Alex Brackfield retired on 12.
