On a very sunny, Sunday morning in Malahide, the Minor B boys took to the top pitch to play the first game of their season, against The Hills. James H captained the side and won the toss, deciding to put The Hills into bat. 

James H started well, getting 2 wickets in the first over. Jack C and Jack B also got a wicket each with all the boys bowling and fielding well to restrict The Hills to 63 for 4. 

Our opening batting pair James H and Jack C got Malahide off to a quick start. Sean and           Jack B kept the score moving with brilliant running. Tommy and James Q (scoring 13 in his first match) added plenty of runs. Our final pairing of Harry (also in his first match) and Finn, showed great determination scoring runs, but also making sure no wickets were lost, resulting in Malahide finishing on 91 for 3, a win by 33 runs. 

Well done to the boys, who put in a brilliant team effort and showed great encouragement for each other and the opposition. Also thank you to our scorer Richard and Brian for organising Malahide caps for the boys, much appreciated.
