An all-round team performance gave the U13A boys a victory over Railway by 23 runs.  The top-order batsmen all made an impression with Wilhelm retiring on 32, Jack Grant hitting 21 and Daniel (14) and Oliver J-C (15) keeping the scoreboard ticking over with cleverly judged runs.  A couple of well-timed boundaries at the end from Finn and Zohaib took Malahide to 112 off 20 overs.

The Malahide bowlers also shared the spoils as Railway were bowled out for 89: two wickets apiece for Wilhelm and Zohaib and a wicket each for Mathew, Oliver J-C, Oliver M and Jack Bourke.  Of those wickets, five went to excellent catches from Oliver J-C (2), Daniel, Wilhelm and Zohaib and Wilhelm added a run out.  If the catches caught the eye, the general level of fielding deserves attention too.  James and Oscar may not have had the chance to bowl but their fielding was vital to keeping the runs down and gave further proof of the adage that cricket is a team game.
