The boys U15B team scored a four-wicket victory against a Knockharley VIII.  Malahide’s opening bowlers, Matthew (2 for 8) and Oliver J-C (3 for 11), cut through the top order.  Paul and Eoghan continued the attack with a wicket each and good bowling from Mitch, Aaron and Adam kept the pressure on to leave Knockharley with a total of 60 to defend.

Opening the batting, Diarmuid and Rory put on 24 for the first wicket.  Removing Rory, the Knockharley attack fought back with excellent bowling accounting for Josh and Alex.  Adam (10) and Diarmuid (23) steadied the innings.  Once they and Matthew had gone, it remained for Oliver to pull the ball through mid-wicket for four to end the game.

The U15B squad showed its depth today with fine debuts from U13s Alex and Josh Moore and U11s Mitch and Aaron who helped maintain the team’s 100-percent record.  Thanks too to Matthew Langan, William Hackett and James McGivern who fielded for the opposition.
