The boys' U13A’s season proper began with a good win over Balbriggan.  Malahide posted a total of 137 for 6 with a combination of well-run singles and twos and some hard-hit boundaries on a slow outfield.  Wilhelm de Klerk retired on 33 and Oliver Jeffrey-Carrick hit a well-judged 22*.   Alert fielding, accurate bowling and faultless wicket-keeping from Jack Grant and Daniel Crampton kept Balbriggan to 51 for 8.  Wickets were shared between Michael Ranaghan and Elliot Manks (2 each), Alex Moore and Zohaib Shahid, plus run outs by Finn Doran and Wilhelm.
