With the stretch in the evenings and the training schedules for both our youth & senior players coming into place, it seems a good time to give an update on the activities across Malahide CC.

 Cricket

 It was great to sit in on the Players meeting on Tuesday night, great energy and unity of purpose.  Fintan Mc Alister is now on board as Player Coach as are our CDO and Ladies/Youth Coaches. Our first senior game is only a few weeks away and our indoor trainings for both Seniors & Youth are well underway. Phil Frost re-joined us on March 1 for the season and we look forward to the outdoor nets commencing shortly. Welcome back Frosty. Our Chair Of Youth, Ann McCormack is finalising our Easter Camps currently. More details on the website.

 Sponsorship

We are delighted to confirm that The Grand Hotel is continuing their sponsorship of Youth Cricket this season.  Many thanks to Matt Ryan and the team at The Grand.  The Executive can also confirm that permanent tsb will be sponsoring Senior Cricket at The Village this year.  Thanks to Stephen and the team at PTSB.  We will announce more agreements in the coming weeks.

 Community

Reaching out to the wider community is a key focus for the club this year, you can already see some subtle changes to the look and feel of the website. 

New content is being developed currently.  Angie Gibbons is leading our “Open Evening” initiative, which will showcase our club to the wider community of Malahide.  More details to follow soon.

 Membership

We encourage all to renew as soon as possible.  Any queries please contact Marianne Herbert at 

malahideccmembership@gmail.com.  This is a significant source of revenue for the club and supports our increasing costs at this time of year.

 Bar

It is great to report that the Bar revenues are growing year on year.  We ask that you make a visit to the club a part of your plan on your next night out?  We have recently upgraded both our wine and beer selection.  Freshly ground coffee is still available.  Please consider the club for your function, contact Fran on franpreynolds@gmail.com

 Town Hall

Based on the positive feedback, the Executive will organise another Town Hall for mid April.  Any suggestions for the format or topics to be discussed, please contact me on keohane.c@live.ie or 086 3411200.  We seek your feedback & guidance at all times.
