The U 11 bs played their final league match v The Hills on Thurs 11 August.  The Hills won the toss and put Malahide into bat.  Aaron and Sean opened with some solid batting giving us a good start.  Our middle order batsman of Matthew (3 fours) /Cillian, James/Oscar and Euan and Justin put on some steady runs from very good bowling and fielding from The Hills.  Mitch and Charlie finished our batting out bringing us up to a total of 81 runs with a loss of 5 wickets.

From the start of The Hills innings they matched our run rate scoring on the same level as us.  Going into the last over they were on 76 runs for 5 wickets - exactly the same as us.  Matthew Langan was asked to bowl the last over.  They got 2 runs on the first 5 balls.  On the last ball it looked as if it was going for a 4 but a superb catch from Cillian De Burca brought us home winning by 8 runs.  A super exciting match to finish the season.  Well done to all the kids involved and many thanks to all the parents for their support at all the matches
