The U11c boys were host to Knockharley on a sunny Malahide Sunday morning. Malahide fielded first and in an outstanding team performance. Cormac started with an excellent 2 overs of bowling, taking 3 wickets for 6 runs. The boys bowled straight and kept the scoring down. The fielding was exceptional and James collected 4 run outs, including a direct hit from the outfield. Jack then bowled a 2 wicket, maiden over, followed by another maiden over. All this restricted Knockharley to 55 for 11wickets. Malahide's batting was outstanding, with good running between the wickets and excellent shot selections. Jack (13) and Ciaran (6) got the batting started well, scoring boundaries and excellent running between the wickets. This carried on throughout the innings, with great contributions from Cormac (6), Sean (6) and Finn (5). James then came in at the end of the innings and top scored with 19, including 3 boundaries. Malahide finished with 93 for 7 wickets. This was a fantastic team performance, with a victory of 58 runs. Well done to both teams for playing the game in such a great manner.
