A magnificent 105 from Brian Gilmore was the foundation for the 4ths much needed win v Greystones 2nds. Batting through from the 1st to the 44th over, Brian's knock included 15 fours and one six and with the other 10 batters scoring only 39 between them, it was the singular reason for the home side getting to a competitive 163.

After tea Malahide slowly but surely strengthened their game position with good bowling and keen fielding from everyone. Inderjit Singh (2-31) took out both openers then Ben Askew (1-20) and Howard Askew (3-15) took the next four and three catches between them. Lara Maritz (1-25) struck once to cap a superb bowling debut and Rory Govan (3-23) cleaned up the last three wickets with mature off spin. Two catches and a stumping for Riley Shoebridge, a sharp slip catch from Koushik CS and a low diving catch from Brian capped a great day in the field and a 37 run win.

Brian's ton is the 4th Malahide century of this season and see's his own season average to 48.13 in nine games. It was celebrated after the match in the pavilion with a speech from President John Pryor and a bottle of bubbly.
