Starting their League campaign the girls went for a smashing win against YMCA.A mild cloudy day in Sandymount including the customary rain delay or two.MCC fielded first and even though YMCA had a blistering start with 20 runs registered after 2 overs,Malahide pegged them back well.The breakthrough came with a run out by L.Maritz. All the bowlers chipped in each taking a wicket or two!

Malahide chased 103 and reached the target with 9 overs to spare!Captain C McCann didn't waste time and retired on 36 after four overs and shared a partnership of 77 with Lara(35).Grace Flanigan (11 no) with good support from S Brophy(12 no)finished off the proceedings
