A semblance of cricketing weather finally greeted our visiting eleven, in this case Pembroke, who duly won the toss and decided to have a bat.  Hoping to reverse the result from the corresponding 2015 fixture, the Malahide lads bowled tidily and teamed up in the field to effect two good run outs.  The wickets fell at regular intervals : impressive off-spin from Rory bagged two; Oliver's precise yorker got him one and Diarmuid was rewarded for some fine pace bowling with an lbw.  Tidy bowling from Ciaran, Wilhelm, Christopher, Adam D, Corey, Jack and Finn; Daniel is improving each match with his 'keeping. Pembroke 86-6 from 20.

When Rory retired on 17, he and Wilhelm had shared an opening partnership just shy of the 50 after only 7 overs. With Rory's departure, Jack and Wilhelm continued apace. Wilhelm's 4th consecutive retirement, this time on 38, saw Diarmuid join Jack and 87 was achieved with two boundaries. Malahide 0-87 off 12.3.  Special thanks to Adam R for helping in the field.
