With a number of regulars missing the 4ths went into the local derby v Swords with an unbeaten record and a fresh young side. Swords won the toss and decided to bat. Veteran Howard Askew opened up with a steady spell (1-26). The other 5 bowlers had an average age of 18 and all bowled well in bowling Swords out for 164. Pick of the bowlers was Robin Akhil (2-13), Ben Askew (2-36) and Ryan Condron (3-35) who were all were supported by a great wicketkeeping performance from Chimney Kadam who executed 5 dismissals.

After tea Brian Gilmore and Koushik CS set about the reply in a careful manner and the first wicket fell for 56 in the 19th over. When Brian (45) went the score was 74 and the visitors sensed their chance. Six wickets fell for 9 runs in the middle order but Chimney (36) and Ryan Court (10) put on 50 before wickets and overs ran out.

Overall a good performance that just came up short against a strong team of experience cricketers.
