The Men's 1st XI bounced back from their previous day's heavy defeat v Merrion with a win against Strabane in the Irish Senior Cup. The game was reduced to 26 overs per side. Batting first Malahide got off to a shaky start and after 8 overs were 44-5. But a 6th partnership of 90 between Neil Boyne (52*) and Michael Hingston (38) help the home side to 149.

Steady bowling from veteran Peter Saville (3-20) and Leslee Muttathottill (2-36) kept the pressure on and a great last over from Peter Chase made sure that Malahide won by 9 runs.
