Two previous wins and the 4ths were under pressure to win for the first time on the new artificial wicket. After losing the toss and being asked to bat, Malahide made a steady start and after 16 overs were 71-4 thanks to Chris Long's quick fire 40. Mark Duffy joined Conor Whelan for a fifth wicket partnership of 94 with Mark falling 5 short of a half century and Conor making 72 which was his highest score for Malahide. The home side were bowled out for 189 in the penultimate over.

The visitors were in trouble early and under pressure from the opening bowlers Conor Gibbons (2-18) and stand in skipper Howard Askew (2-14) who both bowled through their 9 over spells. Good middle overs from youngsters Ryan Court & Ryan Condron kept the pressure on which allowed Inderjit Singh and Alan Quinn to mop up the tail with the help a couple of run outs.
