Match report 4s opened their season on a chilly afternoon on the mat in Rathmines. Saw the welcome return of James Garrigan. He opened up with captain Brian Gilmore who scored a solid 42. Vikas Gulati 27, VC Malcom Ogilvie 19 and Sarvjeet Singh 16 maintained momentum. Joe Jennings 13* and Eoghan Keohane nearly batted out the overs with MCC posting a par 162 in 39.3. Leinster batted 10 overs before tea due to a late Pizza delivery. Gulati 1/26, Keohane 2/28 and Jennings 1/14 (8 overs each) kept the lid on. However, Leinster punished some loose deliveries and then youngsters O'Connor and Keenan cleverly played a form of hit and run which saw the Rathmines outfit winning by 3 wickets - 2 overs to spare. Sudahip Roy picked up 3/53. Also, good catching by Garrigan (2) and Karthik.
