Match report I probably won't watch any more boys' semi-finals, as they always seem to promise so much, and then....... And so it was with this one. With only 8 players available it was always going to be a tough job, but a fabulous bowling display backed up by some good fielding saw a full strength Leinster side all out for just 95 in the nineteenth over of their 30. The highlight was a hat-trick for Ryan Condron as he returned figures of 4 for 9, supported by Sean Drumm (3-19) Red Hanson (1-23) Alex Hallows (1-21) and Ravi Galapoli (1-19). Even with Leinster just needing seven wickets this looked like game on. Sadly, cricket is a game of two innings, and the Malahide innings was over before it began as some kamikaze running and surprising shot selection saw them all out for 25 off just 11.2 overs. And so, once again, a game that promised so much only delivered a quiet trip home.
