Malahide Ladies 2nds made the trip to North Kildare for their 1st league game of the season a little short in numbers but with plenty of determination to bounce back from their 1 run cup loss of Monday evening.
Batting 1st the skipper Clara Pryor 26 and Meabh Reid 29 got the innings off to a fine start before the experienced Barbara McDonald 35* ably supported by Fiona Gill 8 and Caoimhe McCann 1* helped reach a total of 112 off their 20 overs.
The skipper again led from the front when the team took to the field with an excellent spell of accurate bowling take 3 for 14 off her 7 overs. Meabh 2 for 18, Fiona 1 for 10 and Naomi 1 for 10 supported well helping to bowl out the home side for just 54 runs in 17 overs.
Well down to the skipper and the rest of the team on a great bounce back win.
