Match report A great first win of the season for the U13B boys at home to Old Belvedere, winning by 8 wickets with 5 balls to spare.
Malahide won the toss and put Belvedere in. A fine all round bowling performance from the whole team, with all 11 players bowling and restricting the opposition to 68 for 2 wickets off 20 overs. Matthew Kavanagh took 1 for 3. In reply, the Malahide opening pair of Jacob Whelan and Alex Davies carefully saw off Belvedere's strike bowlers before accelerating to a partnership of over 30. Next in was Riley Shoebridge who hit a sparkling 25 (retired) with good support from Jacob (13) and Ryan Court (8). That left John Burke to come in with the scores tied in the last over to scamper a bye and record the U13B first win of the season at the second time of trying. Well done boys, a great all round team effort.
